DIY Felt Valentine Wands: A Sweet & Simple Tutorial

Materials You’ll Need

  • Fabric Scissors and Hot Glue Gun
  • Wooden Dowels
     

Instructions!

Step 1: Create Your Envelope Base

  • Draw & Cut: Start by drawing a 7" x 11" rectangle on white felt and cutting it out.
  • Fold and Secure: Now, use 8 of those inches and fold them in half, leaving 2 inches at the top, like this. Secure the folded sides with hot glue or stitch around the edges!

  • Fold and Secure: Now, fold the top 2 inches over and once again secure with hot glue or stitches. 

 

Step 2: Add Your Heart

  • Felt Heart: Cut a small heart out or use our heart die cuts to add onto the front of the envelope. Secure with hot glue!

 

Step 3: Add Your Stick

  • Dowel Rod: Now, grab your dowel rod and secure it to the back of the envelope. We used hot glue and it stayed great!

Step 4: Accessorize with Ribbon!

  • Dowel Rod: Now that all the hard parts are done, it's time for fun! Grab your favorite ribbons and tie them around the rod right under the envelope, like this.

We tied a bow for a cute finishing touch but we also loved the look of free long tied pieces of ribbon too!
