Materials You'll Need:
You can find everything linked below!
Step 1: Decorate Your Gingerbread Men
We kept ours plain for the tutorial but we hope you let your creativity shine! We attached a photo of a few of our creations!
- Add Faces and Details: Use fabric markers or paint to draw or use our embroidery thread and stitch your details!
- Attach Embellishments: Glue on buttons, sequins, or tiny bows for extra charm.
Step 2: Prepare the Ribbon
- Cut Ribbon Strips: Cut your 3" ribbon into equal lengths, we did 5 inches.
- Create The Flag Shape: Fold each ribbon strip in half and cut at an angle towards the corner.
- Fold Over: Fold the top of the ribbon to the back to create a loophole for the 3/8" ribbon to thread through.
Step 3: Attach Everything Together
- Stack Them: Lay your gingerbread men on the ribbon flags and secure them to the center with hot glue.
- Creating the Banner: Now, take your 3/8" ribbon and thread it through the ribbon flags.
Step 4: Finishing Touches
- Finishing Up: We made more colors to create a festive pattern and threaded them all together. We also played around with adding bows and ended up with a few ideas you could try out!
And then you're done!
