Summer Crafts: Ice Cream Garland and Plushie!

Summer is here so naturally in this blog post we'll create adorable felt ice cream cones! These delightful crafts are perfect for party decorations, playful home decor, or just a sweet project to do with kids. Not only are they easy and enjoyable to make, but they also bring a whimsical touch wherever they're displayed. Let’s get started with our step-by-step tutorial!

Let's get started with a felt cone! We used one of our die cuts but you can also just cut a triangle out by hand.

Then, we used our circle die cuts as the scoops of ice cream! Again, feel free to just cut these out by hand if you'd like! 

Next, we played around with the scoops and how we wanted them. We decided on the far left but still loved the other two options :) 

Now, we took our hot glue gun and secured the scoops to the cone and grabbed our thread. 

With our thread, we secured it to the back, behind the cone. 

Then we we're done! 

First we're going to cut a curved triangle shape out of a cone colored felt sheet.

Then we rolled it into a cone and secured it with hot glue. 

Then, we grabbed our circle die cuts and started layering them on the inside edge. 

We also started adding stuffing to keep the shape. And kept going! 

When we got to the top, we added a red felt ball as the cherry on top! 

Then we were done! 

And there you have it— felt ice creams that are sure to brighten any room or party setting! These felt ice creams are not only a joy to make but also wonderful gifts for friends and family.
